Dr. Jasbir Arora, F. Wendell Miller Professor, Civil and Environmental and Mechanical Engineering
Dr. Arora is an international expert in the fields of optimization, numerical analysis, and real-time implementation. He is Director of the Optimal Design Laboratory and will lead the effort in developing numerical algorithms for implementation in the Digital Soldier simulation code. Dr. Arora is an F. Wendell Miller Distinguished Professor of Engineering because of his many contributions to the field of optimization. His books are widely used in the field.
