SantosTM Missions

Read about the capabilities of Santos

Santos has been asked to conduct many tasks...he continues to learn as his experience with objects and humans increases.  Some of the missions that Santos has been given include the following:

A. Given a 50 lb box located in position A, move the box to position and orientation B.   Santos is asked to execute these tasks autonomously, unaided by humans. Unlike current state of the art, no manipulation of the joints or limbs, or postures is needed...only when several postures need to be examined that the user feels it necessary to manipulate Santos.

B. Joystick maneuvering and manipulation while subject to obstacles.

C. Opening of hatches of a special vehicle where torque and force requirements are high on the body.

D. Climbing in and out of various military platforms (ingress and egress problems).   A very novel set of solutions are proposed and executed by Santos...let him do the work of checking for you.
